Product Description

The Shoebill is an Old World bird with a prehistoric appearance, rumored to have dinosaur ancestry. It's known for the distinctive clattering sound it makes. The Folkmanis Shoebill stage puppet is crafted in a trendy cool gray - blue feathery plush. It features expressive eyes and a hidden castanet that can create the same clattering sound, bringing this fascinating bird to life with a dash of playfulness. Ideal for kids aged 3 and above. Measuring about 12 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 16 inches tall. Note that this puppet should never be put in a washer or dryer as it will ruin the puppet. Our plush puppets are only surface - washable. Avoid submerging it in water. For spot cleaning, use lukewarm water and a sponge with Woolite or other mild liquid detergent to wet and lather the fur. Then, rinse the surface with the sponge. Be careful not to wring or twist the puppet to prevent lumpy stuffing. You can dry it by gently squeezing between towels or hanging it on a clothesline to drip - dry. After it's dry, just shake it out. For the short - pile plush, use a brush to fluff the fur. When brushing the face, be cautious not to scratch the eyes or pull out the threads in the ears, nose, or mouth areas.

Using your Shoebill stage puppet is super easy. Just slip your hand inside and start making it come alive with the hidden castanet for that cool clattering sound. This puppet is great for kids aged 3 and up to have fun with, whether it's for pretend play or on a little stage. Now, for taking care of it, don't ever put it in the washer or dryer. It'll mess up the puppet big time. You can only do surface cleaning. Don't dunk it in water. If there's a spot that needs cleaning, get some lukewarm water, a sponge, and a mild liquid detergent like Woolite. Wet the sponge and lather the fur gently. Then rinse the surface with the sponge. Don't wring or twist the puppet or the stuffing will get all lumpy. To dry it, you can gently squeeze it between towels or hang it on a clothesline to let it drip - dry. Once it's dry, give it a good shake. If you want the fur to look nice and fluffy, use a brush on the short - pile plush. But when you're brushing the face, be really careful not to scratch the eyes or pull out the threads around the ears, nose, or mouth.
